A potpourri of cultural diversity, Octaves is VNIT's hotspot for musicians. Octaves is the club where passionate enthusiasts in every possible language, style, instrument aims to showcase their musical talent in multiple events throughout the year as well as creating original scores. With jam sessions and practice rounds that extend late into the night, strangers turn into friends and Octaves into a family.

Euphony; Date: 5 June 2021. The participants have given their best in an effort to make this series the absolute best. Tremendous work put in by the instrumentalists as well as the vocalists. It shows how far we have come as a club. We aim to deliver on the standards that we have set and will continuously work to do so.

Mag x Octaves collab; Date: 13 April 2021. This event was a collaborative event which brought forward the talents of both the clubs.The members of octaves prepared covers of songs showcasing their abilities and the members of mag.com penned down literary pieces and the entire event was a big success. The participants from octaves created the entire cover including the instrumental tracks from scratch with our little twists.

This event was a collaborative event which brought forward the talents of both the clubs.The members of octaves prepared covers of songs showcasing their abilities and the members of mag.com penned down literary pieces and the entire event was a big success. ABCs of music; Date: 13 April 2021. ABCs of music is the event / series of musical performances of our club members along with the extraordinary information about the legends of music industry either music composers, music performers or singers.The core idea of the series is to pick a great musical artist having his/her name initials A ,B,C,... and search out some interesting facts/records and one of the team mate will record one famous song of the music artist honouring him/her. All the instrumental support was supposed to be provided from the club itself. The teams were divided irrespective of genre,language and region and were given a letter to work on for the best out of it. They worked passionately and took great interest in creating amazing posts and recordings.

Best of Octaves; Date: 10 April 2021. As the name suggests, the Best of Octaves is the finest musical performance that the club has to offer. The idea is to showcase the amazing amounts of talent that we have so that everyone can understand how good this club is. Along with the singers, this series also displayed the instrumentalists whose performances were absolutely immaculate.

Freshers Mash-up; Date: 4 April 2021. As the VNIT 2020-21 Freshers batch began their college experience as a completely online one due to the Covid situation, the musical club Octaves came up with this event that was posted on the Instagram page and ended up being a dynamic one too with wide reach and lots of support and love from people.This event was a good way to introduce the freshers to the club, the seniors and to engage them in the club activities. It brought them together and worked as an ice breaker as well. The mash-up was multi-lingual, and in a way depicted the beauty of people coming from different parts of India, being united by music and producing something special together.

The video was made by tremendous efforts taken by the club members and we succeeded in showcasing the variety of talent that our club possesses. The main purpose of this event was to portray the range of genres that our club members are capable of, and also as an introduction of octaves to the newly joined freshers. This video grabbed an impressive total of 1,381 views on instagram , in addition to amazing appreciation from peers.

SWAR-LATA was organised on the occasion of 91st birthday of legendary singer Bharatratna Lata Mangeshkar by the musical club of vnit- Octaves. The purpose of the event was to introduce this new generation with some old and evergreen melodies of Lata Mangeshkar and to pay tribute to this legendary singer. The event was streaming on Instagram for a week and it was open for all. The Swar - lata was a series of 7 Instagram posts and some live Instagram sessions, in which 20 participants were involved from club and this Melodies got really good response from audiences.
